The Westkapelle Wednesdays of this year will conclude on 19 August with a cheerful note. In the Polderhuis garden, children can enjoy various games from 11:00 a.m. onwards and get creative again by painting small boats or making shell frames.
Performance by the Shanty Choir
From 2:00 p.m. onwards, the shanty choir Het Veerse Scheepstuig will perform, guaranteeing a lively afternoon full of sing‑along songs.
Bike rummage route, horse‑tram ride and kite show
The village itself also promises to be full of activity: residents of Westkapelle will offer their surplus items for sale between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. These items are displayed in their driveways or garages, giving everyone the chance to search for a special find. At the Polderhuis, you can pick up an overview of all participating addresses, allowing you to enjoy a pleasant cycling route along the various stalls.
At the Polderhuis, you can hop on the horse‑drawn tram for a ride through the village. Riding along is free, though a voluntary contribution is welcome. On the sea dike, you can see the most beautiful kites of the Zeeuwse Vlieger Vrienden, who are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year—a colourful spectacle.
