Location: Polderhuis Westkapelle
Time: 11:00 - 17:00

Join the rhythm of the sea! On Westkapelle Wednesday, 22 July, there is plenty to experience in the Polderhuis Garden between 11:00 and 17:00.

Activities for young and old

Children can take part in a drumming workshop with DJ Vindictiv. And if they enjoy it, they can make their own drum set using painted buckets. There are also plenty of other creative activities and games for them.

The ladies of the handicraft club “de Mutsen” sell handmade products such as oven mitts and bags with a Zeeland twist, and children’s clothing is also available. If you’re in the mood for something tasty, you can buy a freshly baked waffle.

The Zeeuwse Vlieger Vrienden are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, they will be showing their most beautiful kites on the sea dike. You can hop on the horse-drawn tram at the Polderhuis for a ride through the village. Riding along is free, though a voluntary contribution is appreciated.

Demonstration by the Wasschappelse Heiploeg and music on the terrace

From 1 p.m. onwards, there will be demonstrations by the Wasschappelse Heiploeg. Dressed in traditional clothing and singing old songs (“ouwerwesse”), they show how the wooden pile heads used to be placed in the past. The musical entertainment on the terrace is provided by Mieke and Melody & Accompany.
