Date: 05-08-2026
Location: Polderhuis Westkapelle
Time: 11:00 - 17:00

The Westkapelle Wednesday on 5 August is all about Country & Western Line Dance. Between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. there is plenty to experience once again.

Activities for young and old in the Polderhuis garden

For children, there are various creative activities and games, such as making hobbyhorses, painting small boats, or creating shell frames. On this day, they can also make music themselves using so‑called “dance mats”: move around on a mat and hear the music play.

From 2:00 p.m. onwards, the public is welcome to join the Country & Western Line Dance. Put on your cowboy hat, pull on your boots, and join in.

Brewery ’t Gilde will give a demonstration of beer brewing, and of course you can also taste the beer.

The ladies of the handicraft club “de Mutsen” sell handmade products such as oven mitts and bags with a Zeeland twist, and there is also lovely children’s clothing for sale.

If you’re in the mood for something tasty, you can buy a freshly baked waffle.

Horse‑tram ride and kite show on the dike

At the Polderhuis, you can hop on the horse‑drawn tram for a ride through the village. Riding along is free, though a voluntary contribution is welcome. On the sea dike, you can see the most beautiful kites of the Zeeuwse Vlieger Vrienden, who are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year. A colourful spectacle.
